Wake Up, It Is the FIRST Bears/Packers Game
Walking into Lambeau yields a certain reverence. The echoes of Curly Lambeau, Don Hutson, Reggie White, Bar Starr – hell, Donald Driver seem to encompass the atmosphere. Then you see the disgusting green and gold. Have these people ever seen a color wheel? Probably not given half of them didn’t pass the fifth grade. Fetal alcohol syndrome will take a toll over the generations. Jokes aside, the real frustration begins when you see those marquee lights ov

Things I May Regret: I HOPE Aaron Rodgers Does Play This Sunday
My friend Mr. Griffin asked me recently what my beef was with Aaron Rodgers. This was a fair question. Although I "grew up" a Bears fan, I didn't really watch them. I would sporadically keep tabs on the games through ESPN while I was orchestra rehearsal - you have a lot of time on your hands being a percussionist in an orchestra (try counting 100 measures of rest just to have the conductor re-start before you get to do anything). I have been honest on this blog about how

The Bears Win on a Walk-Off FG
The Chicago Bears live to see another day with 3 wins in a row since the loss at Baltimore to the Ravens. This was another “thrilling” [read: stomach churning] game ending in last second points. Walking out of U.S. Bank Stadium with the win, the Chicago Bears had

EMERGENCY BENGALS BEARS POST
Maintaining composure amidst a difficult week is challenging. Every part of you wants to just clock in and zone out. You hope that you can scrape by, maybe it’s good enough. Maybe you clock out at 3pm for a cheeky pint. Then you remember the other team that has caused you so much distress. You think about their celebrations, and you use that to drive you forward. You light a fire under your ass and you get back to work. Life moves forward whether we wa

What the Hell is Happening?
Just like the timing of my blogs, the Chicago Bears continue to be consistent in one key area this season: being inconsistent. I don't fully understand what is going on, but there hasn't been much progression since before the Commanders game. Sure we squeaked out a win against them and then beat the Saints (oh boy! W e beat Spencer Rattler who no longer starts), but there really hasn't been much improvement. Writing down my thoughts for the last two games has been tough.
