EMERGENCY BENGALS BEARS POST

ree

Maintaining composure amidst a difficult week is challenging.  Every part of you wants to just clock in and zone out.  You hope that you can scrape by, maybe it’s good enough.  Maybe you clock out at 3pm for a cheeky pint.

Then you remember the other team that has caused you so much distress.  You think about their celebrations, and you use that to drive you forward.  You light a fire under your ass and you get back to work.  Life moves forward whether we want it to or not.  It’s up to the Chicago Bears to decide what kind of team they want to be this weekend.  Do they want to wallow in what could have been or will they choose to swallow their cough medicine and show up this Sunday.

This Sunday should be a decisive win for the Bears.  Joe Burrow is still out and they look discombobulated.  For God’s sake they lost to the 2025 Jets.  One of my best friends from Cincinnati texted me after that game remarking that people should be “fired”.

The Bengal’s only hope is to rush Williams and confuse him.  To be fair this isn’t hard to do!  Hopefully we can lean back on the run game and Swift to get back to where we need to be.  This is the “get back” game.  If we can’t mop our sorry asses off the floor and beat the Bengals, then we don’t have a chance in hell to be .500 for the season.  Pull it together guys.
